The municipality of Montabaur is a local authority in the Westerwaldkreis in Rhineland-Palatinate. The municipality includes the city of Montabaur and 24 other local communities; the administrative headquarters are in the eponymous town of Montabaur. The municipalities of the Verbandsgemeinde are located in southern Westerwald.
